Dieticians optimise your physical and mental health, as well as your quality of life, by creating sustainable, nourishing and enjoyable eating patterns.
Dieticians hold a comprehensive knowledge of the science behind what we eat and how our food and the nutrients it contains are absorbed and used by our body. They work with veterans and NDIS participants to promote wellbeing and independence through all stages of life, and are an integral part of a holistic approach to overall health. Your dietitian will help you address any health or dietetic concerns you may have by assessing your current health and nutritional status, working with you and your family to set realistic and achievable goals, and devising a treatment plan to enrich the quality of your diet – and your life.
Proactive dieticians are supported and encouraged to regularly participate in additional specialised training and professional development, allowing them to interpret the latest research and extract the ‘facts from the fiction’ so you can be reassured the advice you receive is up-to-date and informed by scientific evidence. By combining the science of nutrition with their knowledge around shopping and cooking, they will work to give you personalised advice that is both easy to understand and follow.
